I ended up without finished product, but I did what I set out to do: Spend the equivalent of 10 minutes a day on podfic. (301 minutes!) I have raw recording for two projects, and two nearly complete pieces of cover art ("nearly" because I'll poke at them until the day I post, but I like what I have).
