Caught up, yay!

For many of you in Bandom, today is a pretty cool day. Do you know why? Well, twenty-four years ago on this very day, Brendon Urie was born. Eighteen or so years later Panic! at the Disco happened and the rest, as they say, is history.

Now, for those of you maybe not in Bandom, you may or may not know that the Soviet Union won the race to have the first man in space on this day back in 1961. Pretty cool stuff, hey?

About 5 excruciating hours (OK hyperbole - maybe 2) trying to create a podbook and then uploading the files. I hate it when things don't work and you have no idea why because you've done the exact same thing a million times. /o\

Also, 20min recording = \o/

It could have been 5 hours, you know, what with the wibbly-wobbliness of the timey-wimey stuff, lol.

Here's to 20min of recording, "Cheers!" and to things working when next you try, "Here! Here!"

I spent about 20 minutes recording two short podfics for amplificathon, then later came back and recorded another 30 minutes for podficbigbang. I spent maybe half an hour editing the short ones but just realized I'll have to throw out the longer of those two recordings because the fan noise is too loud for it to be usable. So that sucks. :(

OTOH I have met or surpassed my goal every day so far, so I can feel good about that.

Oh, *hugs* I'm sorry you had to throw one out. I'll bet your second go-round is even better than the first one (which was probably EPIC)! And you did manage a pretty impressive check-in total for the day, so congratulations on that!!!

I edited the crap out of my weird drivel from yesterday. Some of it was actually usable. I also learned I cannot talk about Thor's beard and/or hair without dissolving into uncontrollable laughter. Seriously, I cut 4 straight minutes of helpless giggles out.

IN OTHER NEWS! I FINISHED 2 PODFICS AND POSTED THEM.

Anywhos, I managed about 20 minutes of podficcing related things today, including (but not limited to) recording, editing, and pre-reading.

Got started recording a serial killer AU. Had way too much fun using bloody/horror fonts for chapter covers, mwahahaha. Managed one hour-ish of recording/editing/re-recording/GIMPing around.
