I'd hoped to get a bit more editing done today, but still fairly pleased.

Lol, apparently Pottermore was happening rather a lot yesterday! Nearly everyone I chatted with was going on and on about it. :P

I really only wanted to be sorted so I could go "I told you I was a Slytherin." Which I am, because if you had to pick a word for me, ambitious would be a good one.

Still editing my charity podfic! I do have a few smaller ones to wrap up, though.

Real quick check-in: 15 min editing and another 10-ish writing up rec post (which still isn't quite ready, lol)

41 minutes of recording, about the same in editing time.

Does the fact that it takes 40 minutes to edit like, 6 minutes of final product annoy anyone else? Am I just a really slow editor?

Oh, no, my Dear! I am in the exact same position on actual recording time vs. final run time. *hugs* You aren't a slow editor, sometimes it's just the nature of the beast, lol.

I think it depends on your method of recording... I'm trying out a new process where I pre-read the story 2x and then record and that seems to have cut down on this particular editing frustration. Of course, then the editing time is spent pre-reading, so. But, I have been more pleased with the final product since starting to pre-read.

Anyways, congrats on your 82 minutes of recording/editing. You rock! *\o/*

I usually read through about 5-6 times before I even try recording. I do pretty good, mistakes wise, but then there's all the ambient noises and throat clearing and junk I have to cut out. And the giggling. Allllllll the giggling.

And don't we (the podficcers) find ourselves giggling at the strangest moments, too? I know I do and when I'm editing it's like, "Wait, why was that funny?"
