I re-recorded today and think I have something I can work with. I spent about an hour mucking around today. I also found two friends willing to beta and I made a sound effect! Wheee. If only I actually liked the editing.
I took the day off because I used up all my energy being a responsible adult and had then got blindsided by so many draining interactions that I had none left for podfic. I'll edit tomorrow, since it's our last day. :(
30 minutes of editing. I soo wanted to have this story done by the end of November, but since that 30 minutes only earned me 2 and a half minutes of finished reading it doesn't seem likely. By Christmas perhaps!

LOL. I don't even know what a stunt sound effect is! No, I read a fic that uses post-it notes, so I wanted to use that as a sound effect throughout the story.
I sent it off to be beta'd, by the way. I'm excited.
By stunt sound effect, I totally mean that I've used SFX of one thing a stand in for something else. Like conference chatter for a feast hall, or like how they rumble strips of metal to make fake thunder. STUNT SOUND EFFECT
Ah, ok. I once went to science museum where they had you listen to a sound and then you had to guess what actually made the sound. Like, was it popcorn or fireworks? Rain or frying bacon? Those are the only two I remember.
It's a Warehouse 13, Myka/HG fic, which I think is relevant to your interests? Now I'm nervous. Ack. People are actually going to listen to this one. Maybe it should never see the light of day.
