1 hr of tedious beta edits for a podfic I should be able to post later tonight!
Also, though I can't count these as minutes - 1 hr working on a podfic rec post!

Goal: 20 minutes

Recording: 65 minutes on podficbigbang. This project had not been as much fun for the last couple sections. it's just very very long and I've been starting to get sick of it and also on some sections with a lot of dialogue that I don't like as much, but then about 40 minutes into the recording today I got to a part of the fic that I really love, and I had a great time reading that out loud. Haven't listened to it yet but it felt like I was nailing it and helped my mood a whole lot.

Editing: 60 minutes on an earlier chapter of the same project. This went pretty well, although right near the end I found a mistake that I'll need to re-record.

Oh Soph, I know how that feels! It's so weird to listen back on parts I really didn't have fun recording - and realising that it thankfully doesn't come off that way! (Or at least if it has, no one has said anything to me about it...)

Feeling like you're nailing things is fricking awesome. Go you!

I hate re-recording things so much. It always sounds really obvious to me that I've done it again at another time. I hope it goes better for you!

So apparently "I am so tired of my quilt I don't want to vector shit anymore" means I spend five hours finishing the raw recording not for my podfic big bang (even though I probably should have. done that.) but for a charity podfic.

Eight whole minutes of that was me forgetting to pause the recording while I yelled obscenities at this helicopter that was flying around.

And I'm pretty sure there's at least one instance of me yelling "WHAT ARE YOU, A TAP-DANCING ELEPHANT." because the people who live in the apartment above are like. Constantly making very loud bangs. I do not know how they do it. It boggles my mind.

I guess I should really go back to doing work now, I mean this quilt is only like a quarter done and it needs to be finished by Wednesday . . .

ahahaha, yes! it was very much like that except eight minutes of it because I swear the helicopter was just like. right over our building.

I'm not holding out on that, these are the neighbors that got trashed on a Tuesday night and kept me up until 1 in the morning when I had to get up at 5. They're the kind of neighbors that make you want to leave passive-aggressive notes.

(They're probably lovely people, but definitely not quiet ones.)

Congratulations on making so much progress!

I sympathise with you bb, right now we've got people working on the gutters and I can get no recording done until they leave (GOD PLEASE LEAVE NOW), although since I live in a house I don't have to worry about neighbours above or beneath me, thank goodness!

Quilts are cool :O I am curious about these quilts that you make :O

Saying I'm making a quilt is kind of misleading. I'm making a "cheater quilt" for my digital fabrics class using all of the kink_bingo kinks. It looks like this right now. I have like a dozen more fabric patterns to design and then I have to fill in the rest of the blank spots. It's going very slowly, and periodically makes me want to stab something, so I work on podfic instead.

Spent a couple hours making 3 podfic covers and writing posts to backdate - I know this is so little to do with recording and editing, but these are genuinely things I struggle with and have to push myself through... And I really had to, because the dreamwidth entry will not put everything I want under cuts (maybe because I use blockquotes??) so after 40mins of trying in vain to get it working right I gave up, redid the post without any cuts and went to bed :\
