I was somehow totally awesome and not awesome at all today. It was about 90 minutes of podfic related bsnss, but it was 90 minutes of test reading a fic with no actual recording or anything. Does this still count?

I don't know about ReMoPodMo, but that totally counts to me! I don't do any test reading - how do you find it? Do you do it for all your pods?

I got no actual podfic done today! /o\ I spent another hour or so on my podfic rec list, but it turns out coding everything in google docs and then copying and pasting into a journal post does not work at all.

After awaking from my post-html frustrated nap, I beta-listened/made slight corrections and re-records to the last 2 parts of Scandal in Bohemia, whilst making the cover at the same time. Then I posted the darn thing! And then bed. This would usually have taken me maybe an hour (minus post making time), but as it was late and I was sleepy, it took me like another 20 minutes.

Cheating a little bit with this check in, but hey, it totally counts because the date ticked over to the 2nd, y/y?

I often forget how to use Audacity. I sit there going "I know I know how to do this so why can't I remember?" so it's good to know I'm not the only one who does that.

I spent about 15 minutes contacting authors for podficcing permission.

(Another hour messing with CSS for the podfic comm.) ^_^;;

OK, I am officially CHECKING IN on the dreamwidth community for this challenge.

I was on the airplane ALL day yesterday, but I have saved the podficbigbang story to my ipad and gave it a read through (or three) in an attempt to get a feel for Sherlock.

Reading can be so useful but it's something I forget about and as a result have to do more takes when recording.

Got in about 40/50 min of editing time on Werewolf!Podfic and oh mannnn it was WEIRD. I must have been trying to channel something when I recorded it because I didn't sound like normal recorded!me. It was fascinating to edit.

I also researched a lot of possible fics for a project I'm embarking on. Asked for recording permission too. Now, I stalk my inbox with slight crazyeyes.

I hope you don't have to re-record anything! I find I can't capture my exact mood at the time of the initial recording and pray that I can get away with small slip ups rather than trying to fix them.
