twelve minutes recording. one minute re-recording a titlecard because I forgot to say my name. remaining seventeen minutes for today were spent cutting segments of music and deciding I didn't like them. that was fun.
Ahaha, don't let my complaining fool you: adding section breakers and the like is some of my favorite stuff. Mixes are kind of my favorite stuff, so sometimes I just make a tiny ep of music that I would put on a mix about a story and then select something with a good ten or fifteen seconds of instrumental.
Of course, my job is way easier if the author's already done that or the title comes from a song or there's music mentioned in the story!
But the important thing is to listen to that transition to make sure the music's not too much louder than the recording itself and it's not abrupt. You can make anything work like that.

I don't think I can count this toward ReMoPodMo, but the podfic related activity I engaged in consisted entirely of responding to every comment I received since about...a week and a half ago? Two weeks? As I take an extremely long time to formulate coherent responses (I DON'T KNOW HOW TO RESPOND TO COMPLIMENTS I REALLY DON'T) it took me ages and ages. So yeah, basically nothing I can count towards ReMoPodMo, but on the other hand I feel totally less guilt ridden and also really quite well loved!
IT IS DIFFICULT TO TAKE, because even though I know how I feel when I leave comments, I can't help but stare at the ones I get and think 'are they just being nice???'
Ah! Every time I see my computer/mic/the word PodficBigBang, I panic and get excited at the same time! I had planned to spend this entire weekend recording and tweaking some of the longer bits, but have no voice for it. :(
I did spend about 20 minutes working on stuff in my To Edit folder. Yay, backlog!

I'm always afraid to add music to my podfic, because I think it will not be the right music or that it will overwhelm the story itself, ya know?
