I spent five minutes emailing with an author, but that's it for today. OTOH, I bought new headphones that I am in love with! Which is at least related to podfic? *g*

20 minutes of recording, ten minutes of editing! On different projects!

As a side note, I got all fired up for a potential collaborative project. :D If anyone in the comments is curious about what, I'm looking to record Just A Kiss by emmagrant01 (Sherlock BBC, Sherlock/John), with a different reader for each chapter (five things stories seem like they'd be great for multi-voice podfics!).

So far I have three people (including myself) who are interested, but would love to find four more (it's a 5 things story with two bonus chapters :D). The chapters are short -- shortest is 1200~ words, longest is 5200~ -- so it seems like it'd be nicely straightforward and simple, if people are interested! :)

Hurricane Sandy and life totally messed with my plans to be faithful to this...

On November 1st, I did record a whole chapter of my current long WIP (without power. Yay battery-powered mic!)

And then I did nothing podfic-related in all the intervening days.

Until today! When I have opened my file and edited for at least 15 min. I have 5:30 of this new chapter edited, and am going to dive back in after dinner and see if I can get further. BACK ON TRACK YAY. (Maybe.)

Update: I ended up with 11:08 edited, which was at least an hour of work. Making up for lost time WOO HOO.

If ReMoPodMo actually allows me to get this podfic chapter out by the halfway mark of the month, it will be my favorite thing ever.

Ugh. Nothing podficy today, but I promise I will tomorrow. I sat down to hash through gift fic today and I made really good progress on it, but nothing poddy. Voice still rubbish. I think it will be possible to record tomorrow, so I will do that. tomorrow:D

I'm feeling a little better about doing nothing for the last two days seeing other people's comments.

I had planned on fully editing the first chapter of my PodBang, but everything sounded... tired? Unenthusiastic? I'm don't know. I'll send it to my beta and see what she thinks.
