Congratulations, PodMoers. Today is November 30th, the last day of Track 5. You've made it \o/

Please tell us how not only today has gone, but all about your month. Your stories, [personal profile] croissantkatie and I want them. Thanks for spending the last few weeks with us!

After recording a story four times, I sent a 13 1/2 minute podfic to two people for beta feedback. I made a sound effect and used it. I might have figured out basic editing in garageband. I might have to go shake in my bed for the next two days now.

:DDDDDDDD. I'm glad that you had such a great editing experience. I'm relatively new (I started podficcing in August and got an external mic in October), so I feel you on the learning curve.

No shaking allowed! Only happy dances. (I've been partying in my room to "Walk It Out" all night). My old podfics are scratchy and you can hear me shifting on my futon while I record them, but I'd never go back and change anything. Your podfics (and fanfics) tell the story of your progression as a recorder(/writer) and you will look back on the progress you made this month as something to celebrate. ♥

Oh, yeah. Look, you are assuming that I'm going to do this again. But I have all these stories in my head, begging for release, and there is that vid I want to do and let's not even talk about all the quilts begging to be made. *sigh* Why do people in my life expect me to run the errands, cook, and do laundry for them?;)

:::hugs::: Thanks for the encouragement. I've really appreciated it! Just don't listen to my podfic.

Not a chance! I'm definitely listening to your podfic. After PodBang though, I'm taking a break too. I have a 112K fic that I want to record over winter break, but I won't actively search for anything else. I have a Logan/Rogue plot bunny from X-Men that refuses to go away. I even posted it as a WIP and then took it down, but no, it's was a resolution.

I am also a poor college student, so I need to start sewing these and maybe some of these these as presents. Not posting for a while, I think.

Well, crap. There is no way out of it, is there? Ok, just, you know, listen while you are mowing the lawn or something, k?:D

Are you in the middle of PodBang? I'm out of that loop.

Funny how some stories really plague us, eh? I'm having that problem with Mordred at the moment. He wants all my stories to revolve around him. Not sure what's up with it, so I'm just going with it.

Aw, those little bunny finger puppets are ADORABLE. I am a sucker for anything cute. I have been making these little quilts, about the size of a sheet of US paper and damned if they aren't adorable (you can see pictures on my journal). I don't know why I didn't do small quilts before now.

Quilting is much more like fandom for me in the sense that I make what I'm called/inspired to make. Sometimes (most often) a person inspires the piece and then it goes to them. At the moment, I'm making stuff that I want to make and then I'll eventually figure out where it's going to end up:)

Gosh, I HATE typing on my iPod. AutoCorrect always makes me sound ridiculous. This plot bunny *wants* resolution and I have another on going where Logan is about to get deported and Rogue decides to marry him.

Logan/Rogue is my actual OTP (only superseded by Xena/Gabrielle). I can link you to a great explanation if why their perfect for each other, but the short version is that these two are bound by a deep inner loneliness (for different reasons) and that makes them perfect together. Not saying that their love will be easy, but it will be meaningful.

Oh god, you guys, I know you will understand my frustration here: I had a perfect opportunity to record this morning--there was no construction noise, I had time before work, etc, but I had left my recorder at work the day before and so the opportunity was wasted! /o\

But overall, I am happy with what I've done over the whole month.

You are a rock star. If you had only one missed opportunity that you didn't use, I think you deserve a gold medal.

I feel your pain, luz!

But GO YOU for all the recording and podaware podcasting you did this month. *\o/*

I did a quick tally, as well as I could (not at home atm), and think I was 5 days short. This week was difficult due to a wedding, work and travel, so I'd missed three days in addition to the two I missed earlier in the month. So today, I edited for three and a half hours. :D

I love remopodmo. The daily check-ins really help me to keep on track. So a huge thank you to the mods - you are awesome!!

My goal was to edit half an hour every day. I can't do a proper count of how much I edited atm, but it's probably around 18 to 20 hours total, considering there were days when I edited for hours. Also this month: another three or four hours recording, and at least ten hours of exporting, checking, beta communication and uploading / crossposting. There were two Saturdays when I did nothing but podfic all day. In all, a productive month!

I never, however, did get to the old recordings I had thought about when devising this challenge for myself. I kind of regret that, but I also think fresh fandom love is a limited commodity, so tend to throw myself into the new fandom wholeheartedly - which I doubt is a bad thing. So the big Lewis podfic I recorded last November will linger on my hard drive for just a bit longer, but I think that's okay, it will still be awesome when I get there.

But I am very much looking forward to not being driven by editing, and going back to recording more. It means files piling up, but it's also a lot more fun.

Thank you again. It was fun!

45min of editing today.

Hmm, after a good start into the month, the last 2 weeks were not very productive podfic wise due to roughly 30 extra hours at work. On the other hand I'm now halfway through editing my current podfic project.

Thank you for all your cheerleading! <3

45 minutes sound excellent! And I'm always happy to cheerlead *\o/*

I'm glad I was productive earlier in the month because the last few days I haven't been able to get any recording. SO disappointing. I've played around with character voices and worked on other prep, but nothing tangible. (I almost asked other people for stuff to edit, since I didn't have anything, but I was too tired. *shrugs*)

But. This challenge definitely helped me push through and work on podfic on days when I was tired and didn't feel like doing anything. I don't know if I would have finished Grey Crimson Skies in November without the extra push. Thank you.
