Hello, PodMo'ers! What's new with you today?

Since everything we do here is about promoting podfic and supporting each other, I'm going to share ~90 seconds of a Derek/Stiles [Teen Wolf] podfic that I've been sitting on for a while. In this story, Stiles is in a relationship with Derek, but Derek won't touch him and now Stiles is...upset.

Originally, I made it as a gift for a friend, but my squeaky chair made an appearance and now I'm insecure. Thoughts?

Eeep! What happens next? This is awesome! (In one of my fics, right at the end, at the emotional climax, you can hear my cat jumping down from the window sill. ;-)

I decided to take today off/spend it procrastinating which involved a fair amount of recording podfic. I did about 2.5 hrs of on-and-off recording on my main project, and rather unexpectedly I finished and posted my little side project. It's here.

Not of actual output! Just sat here, poked Twitter and recorded bits and pieces. It's probably something like 10 minutes in clean takes. ;-)

I kept forgetting to keep track of time, but I think I worked on various podfic covers for at least half an hour.

I discovered how to do rainbow gradient overlays on text! I did not realize it was so easy!

brb adding rainbows to every cover I ever made....

I AM THE WORST AT COVERS, so more power too you for making those overlays work. o/\o!

Well, just cause it works doesn't mean it's advisable. Sometimes the simplest designs are the best.

Hey, can I request something? Can we have days of the week on the posts as well as "day 5" and stuff, because I'm always SO CONFUSED as to which post is today's/tomorrow's/yesterday's, especially with time zones /o\ *iz dumb*

So um, assuming this is the post for Nov 8th which is, um, Friday, so that's today even though it's 2am and so technically Sat... I decided to try and figure out Auphonic, and spent a couple hours testing various settings on my first podfic ever posted, which I then reposted!

... Yeah, because when you have a large ITPE project due, and a "for fun" project you're working on, and also a big WIP you're supposed to finish, surely what you need to be doing is reworking your own older files! >.>

I'll check with Sly and see what we can do. Days of the week might make it more difficult for some (if I post on "Monday" - especially if post later in the day - it might not be Monday any longer in another time zone), but I'm sure we can figure something out.

Congratulations on your progress! Lord knows I want to fix ALL of my old stuff.

Lol, thank you! I can probably figure it out tbh but since I come to this page directly (not via my feed, which would make it more obvious) and often come to comment about several days at once, it's more confusing for me. I can probably work out a calendar though >.>

God, I was hoping Auphonic would be a really easy way to clean up ALL of my old podfic at once? But it's probably not going to be - and I should let it go. *shakes fist* Perfectionism!!!

I did about 7 hours today. I finished recording my big project (78k total). I'm gonna quit for the day. I probably will edit for the next week and give my voice and eyes a break.

Yep. I got the itch to finish recording...I'm super nervous about having enough time to edit it and work in all the sound effects. It's kid!fic so I'm gonna have to edit in so many baby noises throughout the entire thing. I think that's why I'm pushing so hard.

I think I'm going to take it easy the next few days and actually have a social life. So I'll probably only be turning in the 30mins I signed up with for the next few days. :)
