Hello, hello, PodMo'ers!

I know it's Tuesday in my neck of the woods, but wowza! does it ever feel like a Monday! Have you been running all around and feeling like you just aren't getting anything done? Or, have you buckled down and said "NO!" to distraction and podficced your hats off?

Do you have BIG podfic plans for the upcoming holiday season? I know that I've been researching microphones, in the off chance that I can find one I like enough to add to my Christmas list, lol. What's on your podfic wishlist? It can be a story that you love and wish was available as a podfic, or perhaps equipment for recording, or hey, even a specially designed room/closet dedicated only to podficcing!!!

It's not quite podfic, but I'm almost ready to record some poetry for my flist. (I'm bad at mailing cards, so I record poetry instead for everyone.)

I've been meaning to get some sort of insulating something to record with, but I'm really pleased with the mic I have.

I edited some more yesterday! \o/ I just wish I wasn't sick because I want to record things ;(

Lol, I read this as "get some sort of insulting something" and couldn't figure out what was actually being said. *shakes head at myself* Anywhos, I'm glad that you are happy with your mic... You'll have to keep us updated on the insulating something, if anything happens.

*hugs* I'm sorry you're feeling unwell. I know what you mean about recording, though, I just can't shake this cough from my cold last week and my voice is all wonky. :(

I spent 30 mins today trolling the AO3 for some SOOPER SEEKRIT podfic projects for the holidays. Now I just need some sound effects to make it sound more authentic. (Oh, and you know, maybe some time to record? COLLEGE Y U NO LET ME PODFIFC???? T__________T.)

About half an hour of recording, 2 pages of text. Quite pleased with this. Also, I have learned tonight that trying to record someone speaking while yawning makes you yawn for the rest of the evening. ;)

20 minutes of editing (making up for yesterday as well).

I'm actually surprised at how not-bad the sound was at my new place. There were cars going by, but I could hardly hear them in the recording (but then, cars were sometimes going by while I was listening). Anyone want to give a three-minute test run a listen for me? I only need feedback on the sound quality, not the actual reading.

Congrats on your 20 minutes! My mic always pics up passing cars, ambulances, and various screaming children, lol.

Did a last listen-through and pacing tweak for #ITPE (can't leave well enough alone). 2 hours-ish? Will attempt new recording tomorrow.

BIG podfic plans for the holidays: record at least half of my Extreme Big Bang. (I want to get it all recorded, but half is a more realistic goal.)

After recording collaborations with dapatty on her Snowball, I developed mic envy, so I've got a new mic on my gift wishlist. (Come on, family, don't let me down!)

I did about 2 hours 30 minutes of editing today. I had a rough day emotionally and I'm surprised I did even that. I'm fearful the big project will not be ready in 3 days. But it's been hard going back to work and juggling my ambitions.

I think my anniversary project might be a tad bit late. But there are worst things, right?
