Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American PodMoer's and Happy Thursday to all of our international participants!
What are your plans for today? Will all of the holiday festivities get in the way of recording? Or will you sneak away from family and friend to get a few words in? For all of our non-US podficcers, comment below and tell us how your Thursday is coming along. :)

It sounds like the podfic is coming along well. Are you almost done?

I think it's down to listening/editing, and making sure I have something useful.

That's a good long while to spend on a podfic. Do you have more to record or is it just edits from here on out?
From:

Hopefully, just edits. *crosses fingers*

I spent some hours editing, wasn't really tracking. Spent a significant proportion of that time being indecisive about a. music (probably not) and b. noise removal (probably yes, now that I've got the hang of it). Also learned to use (probably badly) the Normalise function in Audacity.

So, what you're saying is that you got lost in the timey wimey-ness of podfic and have only just stumbled out? Yay!
I remember how excited I was when I figured out noise removal in Audacity! Good for you! \o/ Now, I find myself getting impatient while waiting for it to do its thing, lol. You are way ahead of me with the normalize function... it's still very wibbly wobbly for me. :P

Audacity kept crashing on me last night but did manage to recover every time. And don't worry, the normalise functions is very wibbly-wobbly for me too. ;-)

Congratlations on learning about Audacity! \o/ I spent a VERY long time learning what everything does, so I'm happy that you're learning faster than I did. I have no idea how the Normalize function works, but you've inspired me to figure it out. :)

My approach to learning Audacity is learn the bits I need to solve a problem I encounter. That way the knowledge tends to stick.

My mom surprised us with Thanksgiving dinner, so I actually ended up having turkey et al. *warm fuzzies*
*tries to screw my courage on*

That is, of course, if you can eat anything after having Thanksgiving dinner. I don't think I could eat even one more olive, lol. :D
*hugs* You are doing wonderful things each and every day, m'Dear. *hands you a screw driver* If you ever need to talk or anything, I'm here for you and if not, I'm here for that too. :)
